This blog chronicles our adventure living in Sydney together. We will post about our experience living in a different country on the other side of the world, as it relates to food, dialect, and culture.
Hey Galen (and Kristin), that’s great you guys are starting up a blog! This is quite an adventure, and I’m sure it will provide plenty of bloggable material. Looking forward to reading all about it. Happy Thanksgiving!! Over here, we are off today and tomorrow. Ha!
My husband and I will be in AU this month. He is already there and I am arriving on Saturday afternoon after the business part is over when the pleasure aspect of the trip begins. I will be staying for three weeks. We start in Newcastle, but will definitely be in Sydney at some point. We should have dinner. Email me.
Galen – I contacted you years ago because of the very strange coincidence that you knew my brother, Torin Dewey, casually from the Boulder running scene and that my son is named Galen Burrell. My son, Galen, is now 15 and has been doing XC since 6th grade. He is in a pretty competitive high school team now, running varsity, and generally running his 5K’s in under 17:30. He’s a devoted and talented runner! I wondered if you had any promotional pictures or etc. from your running days that we might be able to get for him? I’m looking for a bit of a surprise for Christmas, something unique. I think he would find a signed picture or something else with “Galen Burrell” on it – quite a treat!
For a website I’m providing a public url to a facebook photo of him nearing the finish line recently.
Anyway, thanks for considering! Best wishes and good luck in all of your southern hemisphere adventures
